# AppNod

> AppNod measures how often AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini) recommend a given Shopify app when merchants ask for app advice, which competitors they recommend instead, and why. It is built for Shopify app developers.

AppNod asks each assistant a fixed set of realistic merchant questions per app category, several times each, with web search on and off. It parses every answer for the apps named, their position, and the sources cited, and reports mention rate, first-pick rate, average position and share of voice, plus an explanation of each question the app loses. AppNod is independent and not affiliated with Shopify, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.
