Terms of service

These terms cover appnod.app, app.appnod.app and the reports AppNod produces. AppNod is run by Zachary Isaiah Siecinski, an individual based in the Philippines (“AppNod”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, creating an account or requesting a report, you agree to these terms. If you use AppNod for a company, you confirm you can accept them on its behalf.

What AppNod does

AppNod sends merchant-style questions to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, records which Shopify apps they name, and reports on the results.

Reports are estimates

AI assistants are non-deterministic. The same question can get a different answer from one minute to the next, and answers vary with model version, location, account settings and whether the assistant searched the web. AppNod asks each question several times to reduce this noise, and queries the assistants through their developer APIs, which can differ from what a merchant sees in the consumer apps. Treat every number in a report as a directional estimate, not a measurement of what any one merchant saw.

No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee any ranking, recommendation, install or revenue outcome, and we cannot control what any AI assistant says. Suggestions in a report are our best reading of the evidence, not promises.

Free reports

Free reports are one-off and offered while we are in early access, one per app. We may decline a request or take longer than expected. A report may be sent as a private link; anyone you forward the link to can read it, and you can ask us to turn it off.

Accounts

You log in with a link sent to your email, so keep access to that inbox secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for any API keys you create. Tell us at hello@appnod.app if you think someone else has access.

Paid plans and billing

Prices shown on the pricing page are planned and indicative. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell until paid plans launch; these terms will then describe billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds.

Your data and our use of it

You own the information you give us. You allow us to use it to provide AppNod to you. We may publish aggregate, category-level findings (for example a leaderboard of the apps assistants recommend most in a category), built from our own measurements of public AI answers. We do not publish your private reports or anything you told us.

Using AppNod fairly

Do not submit forms automatically, try to break or overload the service, scrape it, resell reports as your own product without a Portfolio plan, or use it to send spam. We may suspend accounts or block traffic that does.

Provided as is

The site and reports are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, AppNod is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the site or a report, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Ending the service

You can stop using AppNod at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut AppNod down, we will give paying customers at least 30 days’ notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

No affiliation, trademarks

AppNod is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google. Shopify, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what AppNod measures.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Nothing in them removes rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version and its date are always on this page, and we will email paying customers about significant changes before they take effect.
